I RECENTLY had to purchase two new green dustbins, after my bins were damaged, and within a month both have again been cracked and damaged.

The bin is only taken out once a week for refuse removal and the municipal workers are the only people that handle the dustbins.

With no regard for our property, the bins are broken, and I must ask the question ‘whose responsibility is it to protect our dustbins?’

Both new bins cost R1 700 and I must now prepare to replace these new ones since the workers refuse to offload bins that are damaged, yet they are the persons responsible for the damage.
