A tough ride in iMfolozi MTB Challenge
The 55km route saw riders take on the bush and rivers in drenching rain.
THE iMfolozi MTB Challenge lived up to its name when 300 riders tackled the 55km course from Cengeni Gate to the Centenary Centre in the iMfolozi Game Reserve on Saturday.
While most people celebrated the rain, riders were tempted to curse the water, but bit their lip knowing that it was much-needed in the very park in which they were riding.
The event is part of the Old Mutual Wild Series and is fully-subscribed shortly after entries open.
The iMfolozi MTB Challenge supports the conservation efforts around the Wild Dog.
The male and female winners were Jasper van Vessem and Jo Mackenzie.
