Arman’s record-breaking contender

ST Lucia local, Arman de Wet’s record catch at the recent Maphelane Junior Inter-Club angling competition turned sour after an age discrepancy voided his record-breaking attempt.

De Wet won the under-19 category and was placed second overall after reeling in a 20.6kg Prodigal Son.

Had it not been for an age discrepancy which stated that De Wet’s record would have stood had he been under-18, his catch would have been a Zululand, South Africa and All Africa record.
