Support for the good work of the SPCA

I AM truly heartbroken by the fact that the SPCAs receive no help from our local municipality.

This heaven sent place is not there for making money, but instead they help all of us.

They look after abandoned animals, they look after your pet should you go away and even help pet owners with all kinds of treatments and care.

The worst thing of all is that these poor animals did not ask to be there, they can’t speak up or look after themselves, they are ultimately depending on us.

They are not even asking for much, but yet they are just put aside and no one cares.

I salute all the staff at the SPCAs as no one will ever know what you go through. All of us depend on caregivers like you.

The municipality needs to intervene and help them out.

What are we going to do if they close their doors; we don’t realise what we have until it’s gone… so sad!

In our circle of friends we managed to raise 170kg of food for them in one day, and the best part is seeing the appreciation in their eyes.

To everyone who is getting together and helping them out, you are all my heroes!

Let’s all stand together and fight to support this worthy cause.
