TODAY at a supermarket in KwaDlangezwa, a seven-year-old boy was accused of stealing a R2.50 Easter egg sweet.
He was abused and a security guard separated him from his 11-year-old cousin and locked him in the toilet at the back of the store.
His cousin was told to call the child’s parents.
When they arrived, the child was traumatised, crying and looked so scared – even now he is still crying.
My question is, why didn’t the security guard take the goods from the children, and then asked them to call the parents instead of acting in this way.
I am still thinking of the right place where I can report this matter, because according to my understanding this under age child now needs a psychologist for counselling since he is so traumatised.
