INFORMATION by community members led to the recovery of two unlicensed firearms, ammunition and huge quantities of dagga in Ntambanana last week.
According to SAPS spokesperson Captain Mbongeni Mdlalose, police officers on duty received a tip off about some boys that were in possession of unlicensed guns.
Upon arrival at the homestead, a 28-year-old man was found with a 38 special revolver together with 23 rounds of ammunition.
In eMakhwezini Reserve the police also found a 48-year-old with a shotgun and ammunition and later in Kwamakholwase Reserve recovered passels of dagga.
The suspect fled the scene with a 38 revolver pistol.
