THREE juvenile prisoners have been injured and are receiving treatment at Ngwelezana Hospital after a violent brawl broke out at the Qalakabusha prison this morning.
According to KZN Department of Correctional Services spokesperson Thulani Mdluli, seven inmates were involved but the motive for the attack is still unknown.
‘An internal investigation will be conducted.’ said Mdluli.
‘An incident of this nature has never happened before and the investigation outcome will determine their state.
‘We have not yet received a medical report from the hospital.’ Mdluli said.
