Abbott heads to Bangladesh

LOCAL cricket ace Kyle Abbott has been rewarded for his ICC World Cup performances by being selected as part of the 14-man T20 squad that will take on Bangladesh in two T20’s starting on Sunday.
The Proteas will take on an in-form Bangladesh team that has come off two series wins of late, beating Pakistan 3-0 and India 2-1.
The first T20 will take place on Sunday at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka starting at 9am local time, with the second and final T20 taking place on Tuesday 7 July at the same venue at 9am.
The Proteas will then play three ODIs and two tests to wrap up their tour.
Abbott joins Quinton de Kock, Rilee Rossouw, Faf du Plessis (captain), AB de Villiers, David Miller, JP Duminy, David Wiese, Chris Morris, Kagiso Rabada, Beuran Hendricks, Eddie Leie, Wayne Parnell and Aaron Phangiso in the squad.
