The age of a dying nation

SOUTH AFRICA is known as the country with the highest HIV/AIDS rate in the world.

This is saddening as we are trying to promote the idea that the future generation needs to take control.

But how can they take control if they’re dying of a debilitating disease?

Children should be encouraged to be children for as long as possible, without the worry of contracting a sexually transmitted disease by engaging in intercourse prematurely.

The Department of Health along with the Department of Education needs to do more to encourage students to abstain by educating students on the effects of HIV. As long as children are contracting HIV and dying, South Africa will never be able to move forward as a nation.
