Battle for court supremecy

Squash season is in full swing.

WITH the Nashua Winter Squash League entering the halfway mark it is Empangeni Rugby Club and Empangeni Country Club who continue to dominate on the court.

The clubs are respectively leading the two top leagues convincinglyand the other clubs will have to play catch-up in the second half if they want to vie for the titles.

The league will take a break for the school holidays before the second half of the league starts.

Second League – 1 Empangeni Country Club 75 points, 2 eShowe 62, 3 Richards Bay Country Club 61, 4 Empangeni Rugby Club 56, 5 KwaMbonambi 48, 6 uMfolozi 41, 7 Veldenvlei 38 and eSikhaweni 22.

Third League – 1 Empangeni Country Club 66 points, 2 eSikhaweni 49, 3 Empangeni Rugby Club 39, 4 KwaMbonambi 38, 5 Veldenvlei 35 and 6 eShowe 20.

Fourth League – 1 Empangeni Rugby Club A 65 points, 2 Empangeni Country Club 55, 3 KwaMbonambi 43, 4 University Zululand 38, 5 Veldenvlei 37, 6 Empangeni Rugby Club C 30 and 6 Empangeni Rugby Club B 30.
