ANTON DE WAAL reviews Rockstar's fifth installment of Grand Theft Auto.

FANS of the GTA franchise were recently surprised with the launch of Rockstar’s fifth installment of Grand Theft Auto.

Speculation has it that it is arguably the best PC title to date, so let’s discuss my personal experience.

Although GTA V is visually pleasing, the game engine doesn’t allow the average PC gamer to experience the full extent of the graphics.

In the campaign mode you are introduced to the three main characters in the game, in other words character customisation is limited to the extent of these three characters, therefore you are limited to their physical features.

Online mode allows for you to create your own unique character.

Furthermore, even after the Rockstar has released three updates to date, the PC version seems to be more buggy than a fisherman on Naval Island, which unfortunately deters the overall experience regardless of the rumours.

The upside is that the GTA V storyline is uniquely entertaining, featuring a diverse variety of content, ranging from yoga or catching a movie to betting on the stock market, or base jumping from high-rise skyscrapers.

These are just some of the side quests allowing you to explore one of the largest maps I have experienced to date.

The game play never seems repetitive where the main quests cleverly evolves along their action-driven storylines.
