Gunning for the Mr SA title
Empangeni hunk in the running for Mr South Africa.
TAKING life by the horns, Empangeni’s Adrian Bouwer (25) is one step closer to living his dream, holding the title of Mr South Africa
Spending his early years moving around the country with his family, Bouwer completed his schooling at Frikkie Meyer High School in Thabazimbi before returning to Empangeni.
Now residing with his mom, he put his goals in focus and decided to do what he always wanted to do – compete for the grand title.
‘This has always been a dream of mine and I can’t believe it is coming true,’ said Bouwer .
After entering the competition in February, he was thrilled to discover he had made the cut and was officially a contestant.
But the journey has just begun. To build points, he has to participate in various activities, including a business management challenge and fund-raising.
Adrian is also focusing on youth development as he studies through the Empangeni Methodist Church to become a youth pastor.
‘I love working with the youth and hope to get more involved with the orphanages and volunteer work in the area.’
