ZULULAND’S budding athletes took to the tracks in the spirit of fun and endurance during the inaugural Grade R Sharkies Fun Sports Day held at Grantham Park Primary School in Empangeni on Saturday.
The little ones competed in an array of events including flat races, dress up races, elephant races and soccer, before joining their parents in tackling the obstacle course.
‘The sports day was part of a fundraiser for the Grade R’s. Our plan was to get as much exposure as possible, as well as parent and pupil involvement on the day,’ said Head of Department of Pre-Primary Annalize Venter.
