Five arrested for bush knife bloodshed

Brothers stabbed by gang in Mzingazi.

POLICE arrested five suspects in the early hours of Sunday, after the group were accused of viciously stabbing two brothers with bush knives in Mzingazi.

The Richards Bay SAPS received a complaint that the group had knifed the victims in front of the Madunga Tavern at around 11pm.

The SAPS’ Crime Prevention Unit responded to the scene and successfully tracked down the alleged assailants at their homesteads.

All five men, in their 20s and 30s, were arrested for assault with grievous bodily harm.

They appeared in the Richards Bay Magistrate’s Court yesterday (Tuesday).
