A gathering of the ghost busters

There will be a 'Ghost Night at the Fort' on Friday evening.

As one of the oldest buildings in eShowe, iconic Fort Nongqayi has an eerie atmosphere at night as it looms brightly in the moonlight.

There just has to be a ghost there emerging from the shadows.

If you do not believe this, go and visit the fort at 6pm on Friday, 22 May and find out for yourself.

‘Ghost Night at the Fort’ will be a celebration of all things creepy, glow in the dark crafts, hair raising stories around the fire and, creepiest of all, the ghost walk, where you will find out for sure whether the rumours are true.

There will also be an opportunity to compete for the treasure guarded by the Grim Reaper.

The event is the eShowe Heritage Festival’s marking of International Museum Day 2015 and shows that museums do not take themselves too seriously.

The staff have pulled out all stops to create a memorable family event.

The cost is R80 per person, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Knowing that the evening requires fortification, the Adams Outpost Restaurant will be offering a pizza/pasta supper and the bar will be open.

To book for the meal, phone 035 4741787.
