Anderson bags four against St Catherine’s
All the action from the St Catherine's vs Grantleigh Schools hockey clash.
GRANTLEIGH’S first team hockey player Nicole Anderson had an awesome day on the astroturf on Thursday afternoon, when scoring four sensational goals to give her side a 4-0 victory of St Catherine’s School at Grantleigh Schools.
The talented centre link bagged two goals in the first half and two in the second half, which was just reward for the mileage she put in.
Anderson opened the home team’s scoring, when she banged a hard straight shot at goal off a short corner.
She followed it up with a superb goal in the top left hand corner, after rounding off some great team play.
St Catherine’s were unlucky to go goalless into the half time break, after failing to score off two short corners.
St Catherine’s went into defensive mode in the second half, trying to counter-attack with two players.
This strategy failed and Anderson capitalised, bagging a hat-trick off another short corner.
The home side dominated ball and field possession, which resulted in another sensational goal from Anderson.
