UPDATE: Moberly Road house gets big clean up
After featuring the Moberly Road eyesore in the ZO, the authorities stepped in and cleared the overgrown garden.
WORKERS have descended on the vacant home in Moberly Road, Empangeni to take on the monumental task of cleaning it up.
By yesterday (Wednesday) morning the grass was cut and a huge pile of rubbish had been heaped together in the front garden.
The Zululand Observer (ZO) reported on the suspicious activities at the house, with traces of stolen property littering the garage.
Neighbours have expressed relief that something is eventually happening.
‘We thought that all our complaints were falling on deaf ears,’ said one neighbour.
The ZO has confirmed that the property is currently in the process of being sold.
