BENJI Smit compiled a solid round of golf, which included monster straight drives, pin-point chipping and accurate putting to card 45 points and win the Midbay Motors golf day on Saturday at the Richards Bay Country Club.
Smit outplayed 131 competitors to bag the bragging rights.
Competitors followed an Individual Player Stableford (IPS) over 18 holes.
The well groomed course and short manicured greens aided play, which resulted in a close finish at the top.
L Kirkwood ended in second spot, with 43 points and A de Wet in third with 41 points.
