WATCH: Voices raised against xenophobia

THERE was a good turnout of local residents in support of the uThungulu District Municipality’s campaign against xenophobia.

The crowd gathered at the foot of the uThungulu House steps on Friday morning to listen to urgent messages calling for solidarity and unity in opposing what was called ‘political and criminal oppression’.

Residents were asked to speak out against any person promoting xenophobia and to report any attempts to encourage actions or attacks against those of other nations residing in the district.
