CONSCIENTIOUSNESS was once again rewarded at Kingdom Christian College (KCC) in Mtubatuba as the school was recently awarded numerous trophies and certificates relating to its academic achievements.
For the second time in a row, KCC obtained a 100% matric pass rate, earning the school first place in both Mtubatuba Ward, out of eight schools, and Hlabisa Circuit, out of 70 schools.
In uMkhanyakude District, KCC was the third best performing school out of 156. Acknowledging this achievement, KCC Principal, Mr Tembe, was awarded a trophy for the 100% matric pass rate, another for achieving 100% matric pass rate for two consecutive years, and a third trophy for being placed in the top 10 schools in uMkhanyakude District.
‘Good teamwork at KCC has allowed us to get these results and shows that we will always perform well,’ said a delighted Mr Tembe.
‘KCC’s Christian values, resulting in the pupils’ discipline and respect of each other and the teachers, are what it takes to earn this success.’
Mr Tembe went on to say that clear goals from the outset are required for good academic performance, and following through of those goals.
This year, KCC is aiming for a 100% pass rate in the Bachelors qualification, which means each matric pupil must achieve 50% or higher in four subjects.
This will guarantee KCC the top spot in uMkhanyakude District at the end of this year.
