Zanele is a woman of substance
Mhlathuze Water welcomes new PR Manager.
HER passion for interacting with people has led her to pursuing a career in the corporate communications field, and Mhlathuze Water is Zanele Bingwa’s newest challenge.
After being appointed as the new Public Relations Manager for the water utility earlier this month, Bingwa hopes to strengthen the organisation’s relations with all its stakeholders.
‘I am going to make it a point that Mhlathuze Water’s visibility with its stakeholders and the region at large is increased, and that we are proactive in our dealings by keeping our ears on the ground,’ she said.
Originally from the Eastern Cape, Bingwa brings exceptional experience and expertise from Gauteng where she lived for 28 years and acted in a number of managerial positions.
She holds both a BA degree in communication and industrial psychology and an Honours equivalent from Wits Business School.
The mother of two is currently studying towards a LLB qualification.
‘I am always thirsty for knowledge and learning new things. As a result I am always studying,’ she added.
Her new role will see her having a hands-on approach in executing Mhlathuze Water’s communication and marketing initiatives, as well as managing the organisation’s brand and public image.
When Zanele is not caught up in daily meetings or following up on e-mails, she spends time with her close-knit family.
In sharing some of her wisdom, Zanele says, ‘Always remember the good the other person has done for you. Respect everyone, from the cleaner to the CEO. Start and end your day in prayer, and forgiveness is key.’
