ON my way to work this morning from Meerensee to Alton there was a roadblock set up on the John Ross Highway at the old Crocodile Farm intersection.

Once I got into Arboretum, I found that all the major robots were out due to load-shedding.

My question here is – and I wonder if someone can answer this: with the robots out in Arboretum during morning rush hour, how come the Traffic Department could not put pointsmen at these intersections to see that everyone got safely to work and that there were no accidents or disruptions?

Once that duty was complete, they could then have set up the road block.

I assume the Traffic Department also knows when the load-shedding will be.

This does not make sense to me.
