Fraud accused in the dock
According to the charge sheet, the dealership and institution suffered prejudice in the amount of R435 361.

A MAN accused of defrauding a local car dealership and financial institution of more than R400 000 with falsified documentation, appeared in the Richards Bay District Court on Tuesday.
Ndodo Jele (38) of Mtubatuba is charged with one count of defrauding Midbay Motors and Wesbank on 16 January, by giving out that he was the owner of a set of documents containing a copy of an identity document, payslip and proof of income, while he in fact knew that he was not the owner.
According to the charge sheet, the dealership and institution suffered prejudice in the amount of R435 361.
The matter was transferred to the Regional Court on 29 April and the accused’s bail was extended.
