Zululand dominate at Kings Park

Zululand XV beat Northern KZN 41-11

THE Zululand XV blew Northern KZN right out of Growthpoint Kings Park Stadium on Saturday in an Ebbo Bastard match, which saw the local side drill the NKZN outfit 41-11.

Coached by Graham Beukes and Riaan Pienaar, Zululand boasted a huge pack of forwards fueled with muscle power, combined with an explosive and illusive backline which resulted in a try fest.

They dominated at scrum time and at the breakdowns, which allowed the backline to play expansively.

The Zulu’s took an early 20-6 lead going into to the half time break, but stepped it up a notch in the second half to win 41-11.

Tries came from Jimmy Enslin, Michael Bodenstein, Jors Dannhauser (2), George van Wyk and Estiaan Verster.

Dannhauser kicked four conversions and one penalty to wrap up the score.

Zululand will play their next game on 13 June, with opposition and venue to be announced.
