Foreign students visit our shores
The two-week programme will see the students visiting Empangeni High School to experience the South African cultural way of life.
A GROUP of German exchange students were welcomed by the City of uMhlathuze’s Mayor.
Political office bearers and some of the Executive Committee members were also present to receive the international visitors and enlighten them on the city’s progress and development.
Mayor Elphas Mbatha urged the students to take full advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime learning experience.
He went on to note the historic relations which existed between the two countries and the current mutual beneficial relationship.

This youth exchange programme was the brainchild of the late Arch Bishop Madlopha, and local resident Schalk Smuts.
