THE Zini River Estate in Mtunzini proved that be the perfect venue for events such as the Zini triathlon and biathlon held on Saturday.
The security and diversity of the estate made for a hassle-free competition.
With an early start, most of the competitors finished early thus avoiding the humid midday heat.
The 6km paddling leg was followed by a 20km bike ride and the last leg of the triathlon was a 6km run.
The biathlon consisted of the 20km bike ride and 6km run.
Although billed as a social triathlon and biathlon, the competition was still stiff as only the first placed finisher in each category received a prize.
