WITH a precious resource in the palm of their hands, Grade 1 pupils Unathi Mkhwanazi, Mpilo Mncwango and Leah Naicker of Empangeni Preparatory School are passionate about conserving water amid the critical drought situation in Zululand.
This comes on World Water Day today, 22 March.
The aim of the awareness week is to reconsider the value of water and the need for sustainable management of this scarce resource as well as reassess rainwater harvesting as a solution to the water supply problem.
