Culinary creativity at school cook-off

The competiton resulted in a tie between the teachers team and Grade 9 pupils at Betesda School in Richards Bay.

THERE was a mighty cook-off at Betesda School as teachers and pupils put their culinary creativity to the test in celebration of teacher Andia Pienaar’s birthday.

Each team cooked up a storm to produce the most creative and tasty dish.

The competiton resulted in a tie between the teachers team (Leandi Jansen van Rensberg and Madelein Maree) and Grade 9 pupils (Thandeka Mthethwa, Karnita van der Byle and Danica Pieterse).

Marcel van der Merwe and Pienaar were the official judges.

Face painting was also done to raise funds for the school.
