RICHARDS Bay Christian School walked away with an astounding R42 000 surprise lucky draw on day two of the Mondi 21km run and 10km walk weekend.
The specially created day with a schools’ competition over 10km, was a resounding success with a total of 3 957 entries from 20 participating schools.
Matching the incredible number of participants was the immensely generous prize money.
Arboretum Primary School snatched the first prize of R21 000 with 1 170 entries.
Richards Bay High School was second receiving R15 000 with 330 entries, and a third prize of R10 000 went to Bay Primary with 287 entries.
John Ross College pocketed R5 000 for the school with the most spirit.
