Sentenced for murder
eShowe man sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for murdering a woman.
BHEKANI Sikhakhane (32) was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment in the eShowe Regional Court last Wednesday, 25 February for murder.
The body of Thenjiwe Chili (35) was found buried in a sugarcane field at Ndulinde, Mandeni, on 12 February.
According to police spokesperson, Colonel Jay Naicker, she had sustained several stab wounds and her throat was slit.
A case of murder was opened at Nyoni SAPS.
Police arrested Sikhakhane at Mandini township where he was hiding.
He confessed to committing the murder and pointed out where he buried Chili.
