A ‘shoe-in’ for school
Musi Primary School children get shiny new shoes.
TRANSNET Port Terminals (TPT) in Richards Bay handed over 38 pairs of shoes for eSikhawini’s Musi Primary School children on Friday.
The school was picked as one of the beneficiaries of the ‘Shoes on Feet’ campaign, which has in the past three months placed 400 pupils’ bare feet in school shoes donated by TPT employees.
‘Sparked by the first anniversary of the late Tata Madiba’s death in 2013, we wanted to capture the spirit of giving to keep his legacy alive,’ said KZN Operations: Bulk, Break-Bulk and Automotive General Manager, Nombuso Afolayan.
‘At TPT, we believe it is the civic responsibility of every person to contribute to the well-being of our children as the future guardians of the country, and we are proud that our employees have positively contributed to the social well-being of our community.’
