AN elderly man died at Uvondlo Reserve outside eNseleni on Monday when the roof of a house he was trying to dismantle crashed down on him.
Baba Gumede (65) and his wife were busy dismantling an old house when the roof caved in, crushing him to death.
His wife was also injured and rushed to eNseleni clinic where she was treated for her injuries, and was later transferred to the Ngwelezana Hospital with a broken leg.
Gumede is survived by his wife and four adult children.
