Crafters gather at eShowe imbizo

The 3rd Annual Vukani Crafters' Imbizo will be held at eShowe.

IF you are serious about Zulu crafts, then the Fort Nongqayi Village Museum is the place to be on Friday, 6 March as crafters converge on the fort to sell their wares.

The village will be holding its third Annual Vukani Crafters’ Imbizo with crafters from all over Zululand in attendance to exhibit and sell their skills.

Crafters who have been invited include Willis Nxumalo, the Magwaza family, Bongi Nala, Brian Mkhize, Doris Mwelase, Paddy Ntuli (Hezekiel’s son), Angeline Masuku, Zaza Hlabisa, Bheki Gumbi, Makhosi Ntuli, Bheki Myeni, Ntombi Nala, Dumisani Mthethwa, Beauty Ngxongo and Lindiwe Mahaye.

Buyers pay the crafters direct, then bring their forms to Vukani to arrange payment of the 15% commission.

Government departments who have problems with procurement can arrange with Vukani beforehand to buy on their behalf and submit an invoice.

It is time to clear out your 2014-15 budget or start buying for 2015-16. This is a great opportunity to add to your collections, buy for your gallery or just buy a special gift.
