Bay rugby on trial

Bay rugby trials underway

THE scorching late summer sun did nothing to lessen the enthusiasm of the players who turned up for the first Richards Bay Rugby Club trials on Tuesday.

Head coach Graham Beukes kept a close watch on the returning stars as well as some new talent as they tried various combinations in matches that necessitated frequent water breaks.

While the guys were obviously rusty and short of fitness, there was plenty of evidence that the club sides will make a formidable impact by the time the season commences.

The trials continue this (Thursday) evening at 6.30pm.
