Home Affairs service leaves a lot to be desired

HOME Affairs is at it again.

I applied for an unabridged birth certificate on 25 April 2014 and have still not received it.

Home Affairs Richards Bay says Pretoria has not finalised it, Pretoria says they have no record of ever receiving it.

I have a receipt.

According to Home Affairs Richards Bay, the application is on the system, so who is fooling who?

We have experienced a previous incident with the application of my son’s birth certificate – same story, documents lost.

We had to reapply and waited nine months.

I’m fed up.

You spend breakfast, lunch and supper at these offices, deal with people who have their own conversations and ignore the people sitting and waiting for help.

You deal with rude, arrogant people who do not even give you the correct forms and details. They seem to have a ‘get rid of you quick’ attitude.

Enough is enough. Something needs to be done.
