Road painting gripes

PAINTING of the road lines is being undertaken by the uMhlathuze Municipality again, in Empangeni.

This of course is a necessity, but I have a few complaints.

Why is this done at rush hour between 4pm and 5pm when there are thousands of cars on the road with people in a mad dash to get home?

It also seems as if an inferior quality road paint is being used, as the same road markings are having to be painted every few months – the road paint is just not lasting.

Is this done so that the contractor is ensured of on-going work or is this just another way of squandering the hard-earned tax-payers’ money?
