WHEN I was at school, attendance, diligence and manners were a fundamental part of your behaviour at school.

It was not something to be considered, or depended on the weather. Poor attendance, bad manners and laziness was punishable!

And here we are, years later and children are being awarded certificates of merit for 100% attendance, good manners and hard work – what on earth?

You are expected to attend school, it is not optional. You are expected to be well mannered all through life, it’s not optional. You are expected to work hard for everything you have, to realise the value of the things you possess!

It’s just a shame what the youth of today are being taught and how we as a society have lost all sense of what is important.

Far too many choices for the youngsters, that’s why they’re in such disarray.

Contrary to modern psychoanalysis and parenting, children like discipline and rules.

Just remember, you’re not raising your child for you, you’re raising a human for the rest of the world to deal with – be considerate!

HOPELESS
