TWO victims of sjambok assaults in the Richards Bay area can sleep easier now that police found and arrested their alleged attackers on Thursday morning.
Four men were apprehended by the SAPS and face charges of causing grievous bodily harm in two separate incidents.
In the first case, a resident stated he was assaulted by one of the suspects at 6.30pm on Saturday in Mzingazi, and in the second incident a Mandlanzini man was reportedly stoned and thrashed by three whip-wielders while he was walking home at 9.30pm on Sunday.
The suspects are due to appear in the Richards Bay Magistrates Court this week.
