ALL these dire predictions about our water situation, yet the Department of Water Affairs saw fit to grant Tronox mine a water license, allowing them to extract mega litres from our water resources.
This company has refused to change its methods to save water and insists to use a very wasteful method as opposed to that used by RBM.
Not only that, but they insist on mining to within 100 meters of the nearest houses in our beleaguered town (Mtunzini).
All our efforts to change this came to naught. Makes me think why they are allowed to do this?
