LOCALS were pleasantly surprised at the sighting of the port’s first cruise ship for 2015, when MS Nautica docked at the small craft harbour on Monday morning.
After passing through all the coastal ports such as Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban, Richards Bay was the last port of call for this particular voyage, before the ship heads out to Mozambique.
The arrival of the vessel is a welcome boost for local tourism.
The travel agent for the cruise ship said that Richards Bay can expect MS Nautica’s sister vessel at the end of March.
