TWO Jozini men appeared in the Ubombo Magistrate’s Court in connection with the murder of 18-year-old Pinky Zikhali.
The teenager’s body was found by community members in a shallow grave near Jozini last week. She had been strangled to death.
According to family members, Zikhali left home in October to live with her boyfriend. It is not known what happened between then and the time her body was found, but the man suspected of her murder is her boyfriend, Siyabonga Myeni.
The 24-year-old was arrested late last week along with his accomplice, Bheki Ndlazi (22). It is believed Ndlazi helped Myeni bury the body.
A formal bail hearing has been scheduled for 19 January.
