Soccer legend to scout for talent
Jomo Sono will be conducting trials in Zululand this weekend.
SOCCER legend Jomo Sono will be conducting trials for all young players in the Zululand District Municipality region this Saturday at the Ulundi regional stadium at 3pm.
These trials follow the success of the district’s soccer team that participated in the SALGA KZN Games at Dundee in December.
Sono will conduct the trials to scout for talent for Cosmos’ U/13, U/17, U/19 and senior teams.
Zululand District Mayor, Cllr MA Hlatshwayo, said this was a great opportunity for local players to gain entry at one of South Africa’s great teams.
‘We are pleased that Sono will be here in person to conduct the trials and identify possible players. This is a rare opportunity, especially for players in this rural district and we hope that some of our players will be picked.
