THE 1st eShowe Scout Group held their annual prize-giving at the eShowe Scout Hall on Friday.
The guest speaker was Hugh Lee, accompanied by his wife Renee.
The Lee family, as have all the farmers in the area, have allowed the scouts and cubs access to their properties for camps and hikes over many years.
An old ‘friend’ of the 1st eShowe Scout Group, Assistant Provincial Commissioner: Scout Training, Vernon Farr, congratulated all involved in the 1st eShowe Group.
He said having listened to all the reports presented by the leaders, he could judge that the group is in good hands with good parent and community support.
He presented the Top Scout and Scout Progress shields to Mathew du Toit, who recently received his Springbok Scout badge making him eShowe’s first Springbok Scout.
