uThungulu trump African Warriors

The visitors won the toss and elected to have a crack with the nut in hand.

RH CONSTRUCTION uThungulu claimed a 140 run victory over African Warriors in their Castle Premier League clash played at Addison Park on Sunday.

Rain delayed the start of the game, and therefore the overs were reduced from 50 to 43.

Dolphins players Robbie Frylink and Daryn Dupavillon were in action for the home side.

The visitors won the toss and elected to have a crack with the nut in hand.

uThungulu put on 218/7 in their time at the crease, with opener Stephan Joubert knocking 55, Johnny Riekert contributing 39 and captain Eugene Zwart smashing 27.

Nhlanhla Nkwanyana ended with figures of 3/53 in 8.

The home side got off to a great start, with Dupavillon sticking in his first over, the second over of the game.

African Warriors were eventually dismissed for 78 in the 30th over, with Joubert 2/8 in 7 and Trevor Kietzmann 2/9 in 2 causing most of the damage.
