The lone wolves of Christmas
Don’t drown in your own self-pity this Christmas - make it a 'me day'.
NOT everyone has a family to spend Christmas with and those who do aren’t always in the mood to referee family fights. Whatever the reason there is no need to dread taking Christmas on alone. You just need to make sure you follow some simple steps to make your Christmas jolly.
First things first, dolly up the house with festive decorations. Get out that tree and put up those lights. Ignoring Christmas will only make you depressed and morbid, so embrace the jubilant spirit.
Get yourself a ‘from-me-to-me gift‘. You know yourself best and know what you really want for Christmas.
If you are religious make sure you go to church. Not only will you be spending some time with others but it is also a chance to reflect on what Christmas really means.
Make sure that the movies you watch and the books you read are comedies. Laughing triggers the emotion of happiness.
Do something you enjoy, such as going to the beach or indulging your inner indoor nudist for the day.
Don’t drown in your own self-pity this Christmas. Make it the ‘me day’ you never had. If you can’t be with the people you love this Christmas, spend the day with the things you love do.
