Biker survives hit and run accident

A MOTORIST fled the scene of an accident after colliding with a young motorcyclist.

This was according to onlookers who witnessed the collision on Saturday evening at the Tanner Road intersection in Empangeni.

The motorcyclist suffered severe injuries after losing control and crashing into an oncoming VW Polo, whose driver had failed to see the him.

Mounties Ambulance and Emergency Services personnel immediately responded and treated the youngster on scene before transporting him to the Life Empangeni Garden Clinic, where he was admitted to ICU.
