AWARD-winning Zululand Observer graphic designer Anton de Waal has pulled another rabbit out the hat.
The man who won the coveted Caxton Newspapers Graphic Designer of The Year title earlier this year has added another notable achievement to his diary of successes.
Anton responded to an NSRI email calling for entrants nationwide to create a Sea Rescue character that would symbolise the heroism of the 920 volunteers who man the 32 bases in the country.
A firm fan of the NSRI, Anton responded to the call with gusto and was rewarded when his entry was named the winner.
‘These guys and girls do amazing work, putting their own lives at risk to save others in terrible conditions at sea.
‘If my design can help in promoting them and getting them the recognition they deserve, that will be my real reward,’ said Anton.
