
A 24-year-old woman of Mfekayi near Mtubatuba, Ntethelelo Nonhlanhla Thusi was, was brutally murdered last week.
Thusi’s body was discovered by her parents and workers who had been building on the homestead.
Having finished for the day, the builders reportedly wanted to change after work, but couldn’t find anyone to let them into the house.
After knocking on all the doors, they were alerted by apparent blood stains on one of the door handles.
Thusi’s parents were called and the door broken down. It was then that Thusi’s body was discovered lying in a pool of blood with two stab wounds, one to the left breast and one to the throat.
The builders recalled seeing a man in an orange T-shirt earlier in the day.
Thusi’s boyfriend was immediately suspected of committing the crime and police went to his house but he had fled.
On searching the suspect’s bedroom, the orange T-shirt, blood-stained trousers and the deceased’s house keys were found and seized by the police.
