Introducing the new leadership

New ANC Musa Dladla leaders introduced.

THE KZN MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison, Willies Mchunu, encouraged partnership between government and business sectors during the ANC Musa Dladla Region’s breakfast meeting in Richards Bay yesterday.

Two weeks after the election conference, hundreds of high profile leaders and delegates gathered for the introduction of the new leaders.

In his address, Mchunu advised them to take their roles in society seriously.

‘You have the responsibility to society, and they will look up to you for answers and direction. As leaders you must listen and talk to each other and always find a way forward.

‘Criticism must be accepted and be handled in a professional manner,’ said Mchunu.

‘Partnership will ensure positive results for you. If you work together you can eliminate crime, poverty and road accidents.’ said Mchunu.

The re-elected regional Chairperson and uThungulu District Municipality Deputy Mayor, Thulani Mashaba, delivered his keynote address under the slogan, ‘Together United In Action’.

‘We have taken a strategic approach as the new leaders on key areas which will inform our programme of action for the next three years, with a shift towards rapid economic development,

‘To build a prosperous region we need everyone to be part of us, from traditional leaders, the business sector, professionals, to the rich and poor. We are a multi-class organization with an agenda to build a national democratic society,’ said Mashaba.
