THANDA Royal Zulu FC bounced back from their first defeat of the season to drill three goals past Cape Town All Stars without reply at the Athlone Stadium on Friday night.
This takes Amabhubesi to 10 points after seven matches, just five points away from table-topping Golden Arrows.
And with a home game against struggling Highlands Park at the uMhlathuze Stadium on Saturday, they have a chance to continue their climb to the top.
In Friday’s encounter, Thanda showed they are hungry for success.
After a 0-0 score line at the break they soon had an advantage early in the second period when All Stars’ Amigo Mamela was sent off after a second yellow card.
Two goals in three minutes, the first from Menzi Hlophe and the second from Sididuzo Dlamini broke the back of the Cape outfit and Ace Bhengu added to his prolific tally with the third to wrap it up 10 minutes before the final whistle.
